The oldest American zoo building, the Reptile House was built in 1875 and is a National Historic landmark. Once home to monkeys and apes, the building was converted to the Reptile House in 1951.
The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is celebrating our 150th anniversary! Throughout our history, we have remained committed to inspiring every visitor with wildlife every day. We are excited to launch a new limited-edition collectible pin program that highlights the Zoo’s historical milestones, partnerships, and Zoo super stars! Visit the Zoo Shop or the online shop on our website to purchase your “starter pack” and individual pins. Then, chat with employees around the Zoo to trade for the “Employee Exclusive” pins. A limited number of pins will be available each month—so keep an eye out for your favorites and try to collect them all!
